Student Experience
Gain Real World Experience
The Department of Biomedical Engineering's close proximity to some of the world's leading pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device companies offers undergraduate students the opportunity to find internships and co-ops close to home and around the country.
Internships and co-ops are a great way to enter the job market before graduation. The Biomedical Engineering Co-operative Education Program provides undergraduate students the opportunity to complete a six month, paid co-op while finishing all degree requirements within four academic years.
Research Opportunities
BME offers a remarkably diverse array of opportunities for undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate training and research in molecular systems bioengineering, biomaterials and tissue engineering, bionanotechnology, biomechanics, rehabilitation engineering, and biomedical imaging.
